Private Music Lesson Requirements
All students are required to have a notebook and a pencil for lessons. Any required lesson books are to be purchased by the student or guardian.
Private Piano Lessons
Younger Beginners
Elizabeth requires beginning younger students (1st Grade and older) to purchase five books. A lesson book, a theory book, a scale book, a technique book, and a performance book. The two series Elizabeth teaches are the Alfred Basic Piano Library series and/or the Faber Piano Adventures series. For beginning young learner students (Pre-Kindergarten to Kindergarten) Elizabeth teaches Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Prep Course, Faber’s My First Piano Adventure, Piano Safari, or Alfred’s Music for Little Mozarts. All book series are chosen after assessment of the student’s abilities.
Older Beginners
Elizabeth requires beginning older students to purchase five books. A more advanced lesson book, a theory book, a scale book, a technique book, and a performance book. These books are part of the Faber Accelerated Piano Adventures series.
Adult Beginners
Elizabeth requires beginning adult students to purchase Alfred’s Basic Adult Piano Course or the Faber Adult Piano Adventures series books, a scale book, and an arpeggio book.
Private Mallet Percussion Lessons
Elizabeth requires percussion students to purchase particular books based on the instrument they choose to study. These books are chosen after assessment of the student’s abilities. In addition to books, Elizabeth also requires percussion students to purchase their own mallets and sticks. Percussion lessons are typically given in-person.
Lesson Fees
Lesson fees are collected at the end of every lesson given. Just Jayne Music Studio does not provide for prepayment or monthly payments in advance; it is pay-as-you-go. Also, as studio policy, cancelled lessons are not made up. New students, parents, or guardians, will be notified of further information through the studio policy provided at their consultation lesson.
In-person lessons
$30 per 45 minutes
$25 per 30 minutes
These lessons happen at Elizabeth’s home studio in Masontown, PA, or a separate studio location in Uniontown, PA. They are suitable for students at any level.
Online lessons
$30 per 45 minutes
$25 per 30 minutes
Online lessons are available through Zoom no matter where you are located in the United States. Zoom specifications and meeting information are provided to the student through the studio policy.
Young Learners
$20 per 30 minutes
These lessons are offered to students at Elizabeth’s home studio or a separate studio location in Uniontown, PA and are suited for young learners (Pre-Kindergarten through the end of 1st Grade).
Elizabeth also offers traveling lessons, in which she travels to your home, within the greater Uniontown, Pennsylvania area. Please contact her directly to receive a personalized traveling lesson fee estimate.
